Capturing real connection and natural emotion in images is a big part of what drives me as a photographer.

When you are the one in front of the lens it can be much harder to know what is working in camera and really - who can actually look natural when you’re told to be natural ha ha!

I’ve found the best results come from a mixture of always being observant of those in-between moments and leading you into an interaction that I know will be a reflection of the love, warmth, joy and happiness between your loved ones, and do so in a way that helps keep that moment alive for anyone who sees that photograph.

That is exactly what we did at this family photography session at the Adelaide Botanic Gardens. It was my first time meeting this gorgeous family and I loved getting to know them all as we adventured around the many varied backgrounds that the gardens offer.
