From Sunset to Sunrise - Welcoming Baby L into the World
There’s something so special about photographing a family’s story as it unfolds. One chapter blending softly into the next.
Just a few short weeks ago, we were standing beneath the golden sky, the last rays of sunset wrapping around two expectant parents in that quiet, breathtaking anticipation that comes before everything changes.
Their love, their excitement, the way they held each other as the light faded. It all felt like the calm before the most beautiful beginning.
And then, about 2 weeks before her due date, their baby girl arrived.
This time, we met again - in the peaceful light of my Paralowie studio - with a tiny bundle cradled in their arms.
Baby L. Perfect and so loved.
Her delicate fingers, her tiny sighs, and that sweet newborn scent that fills the room with quiet magic.
Big brother joined us for a few moments too. A little hesitant at first, but full of curiosity and gentle pride.
Those fleeting glances between siblings, the careful touch of his hand. They were small gestures, but they told a story all their own.
As I photographed this new family of four, I couldn’t help but think how quickly life moves. How only weeks earlier we’d been celebrating a belly full of promise beneath the evening sky, and now here she was, curled in her mother’s arms, a dream made real.
These are the moments that remind me why I do what I do.
Because newborn sessions aren’t just about tiny details or perfect poses - they’re about the feeling of becoming.
The quiet joy of holding your baby close and knowing your whole world has changed forever.
If you’re expecting, now is the time to plan your own newborn session. These first days are fleeting. The tiny stretches, the sleepy smiles, the way they fit so perfectly in your hands.
Let’s capture that brand new love that fills your home in those first beautiful weeks.
