Cake Smash
We are Adelaide’s most popular destination for Cake Smash Photography. These sessions are such a brilliant way to celebrate your little one’s special birthday!
You not only get to keep gorgeous photos that capture your baby’s personality, but it is also such a fun experience watching their reaction as they dig into the cake and make a big mess (that you don’t need to clean up!)
We LOVE creating cake smashes that are unique and just for you! They can be as simple or elaborate as you’d like.
Ohhh and don’t forget - cake smashes aren’t just for 1st birthdays!!
When to book? Our diary fills up super quick (especially weekends) so the earlier you can book the better chance of getting the date that you’d like. It also gives us a little longer to plan the cake smash backdrop, prepare the decorations and book your cake with one of our professional bakers.
When to do the session? We loooove doing your session on your little one’s birthday so that we can join in on the celebrations. Or we can do the session a bit sooner if you’d like to use the photos as invitations. Take note of the details below for how long your photos will take to be ready to ensure you have enough time to get those invites out.
Where will the session be held? Cake Smash sessions are held Monday - Sunday either in our Paralowie home studio or (in the warmer months) at an outdoor location less than 5 minutes from us. At this time we are not photographing birthday parties or other events.
How much does it cost? We have created 3 specialised packages for you to choose from which cater for photos of just the birthday child or a whole family celebration. You can also upgrade to one of our bigger portrait packages or purchase additional images when viewing your images.
Package 1 - $550
- pre session consultation to plan your theme
- 15 minutes of pre smash portraits of the birthday child
- custom cake smash background created just for your little one
- naked cake, single colour vintage cake, round buttercream iced cake or large cup cake cake decorated to match your theme
- clean up bath in my adorable white baby claw foot bath (studio smashes only)
- the option of viewing your images on the same day as your session so that you can choose the photos you want right away
- 10 digital images via secure download with the option to purchase additional images & products
- If you choose to view your images the same day as your shoot your digital images will be available within 5 days of your session
- complimentary 8x10” print of a collage that tells the story of the cake smash
Package 2 - $995
- pre session consultation to plan your cake smash theme, my information guide on how to prepare, what to wear and what to expect on the day
- family, sibling & birthday child pre smash portraits either in our Paralowie studio or at our favourite little park near the studio - or in studio & outdoor!
- custom designed cake smash background to match your desired theme
- naked cake, single colour vintage cake, round buttercream iced cake or large cup cake cake decorated to match your theme
- clean up bath in my adorable white baby claw foot bath (studio smashes only)
- a viewing and ordering appointment 1-2 weeks later
- a portrait package that includes:
• 10 images professionally printed on 5x7” art paper in a timber keepsake box
• the same 10 photos as digital images via secure download
- complimentary 8x10” print of a collage that tells the story of the cake smash
Package 3 - $1695
- pre session consultation to plan your cake smash theme, my information guide on how to prepare, what to wear and what to expect on the day
