Adelaide Cake Smash Photography: A First Birthday Celebration with Two Cavoodles and One Very Special Boy

To celebrate their baby boy’s upcoming first birthday, this beautiful family made the 3-hour journey to Adelaide and my Paralowie studio with their two Cavoodles, Bobo and Lala, lovingly in tow.

These sweet pups are very much their other babies, and it was clear from the start that this session was about celebrating the whole family. They made the most of the trip by spending time with loved ones in Adelaide, turning this milestone into a weekend full of connection, joy, and memory-making.

We began our session with gentle, playful moments at a nearby park—cuddles under trees, happy giggles, and two very proud pups watching over their little brother.

Back in the studio, the First Trip Around the Sun theme came to life with a handcrafted sun and cake topper made especially for him.

Delicately simple and filled with meaning, the cake was just the beginning—the real sweetness unfolded in the joyful mess that followed.

We wrapped it all up with a warm bubble bath in my little white claw foot tub, where soft light and tiny bubbles made for the perfect ending to a day full of love.
