A Golden Hour Family Session in Blackwood Forest

There’s something special about photographing families in places where children can simply be themselves.

Where they can just have space to play, explore, cuddle, laugh, and make memories together.

This beautiful family session took place in the stunning Blackwood Forest in Hawthorndene, surrounded by tall trees, soft golden light, and the kind of peaceful atmosphere that makes everyone instantly relax.

Mum, Dad, and their two gorgeous little girls arrived ready for adventure, and from the very beginning the session felt more like an afternoon spent together than a traditional photoshoot.

The girls ran through the trees, played games, collected little treasures from the forest floor, and filled the session with so much personality and joy. We chased golden light, shared lots of laughter, and embraced all the beautiful little in-between moments that make family life so meaningful.

As the sun began to dip lower, the forest absolutely glowed.

That dreamy golden light streamed through the trees and wrapped around the family in the most magical way. It was one of those afternoons where everything slowed down just enough to really soak it all in.

And honestly, those are the moments I love capturing most.
