A Family Woven Together at Sunset: An Extended Family Photography Session

There’s something incredibly special about watching a family’s story widen and deepen over the years.

I’ve photographed Aimee, her adorable daughter and nieces many times now - little chapters we’ve collected together as they’ve grown - so stepping into this session and meeting her precious baby boy as well as the rest of their family felt like opening a new page in a book I already loved.

We met on a quiet hill surrounded by soft bushland, the kind of place where the light drifts slowly across the trees and sunset feels like a warm exhale. It was the perfect backdrop to celebrate her new baby and the gentle merging of two families into one.

As the sun dipped lower, everyone settled into the rhythm of being together. Laughter carrying on the breeze, little ones being passed from one set of loving arms to another, and moments of connection happening without anyone even noticing.

There was a sense of joy, pride, and tenderness woven between them, the kind that only happens when people truly show up for each other.

This preview is just a glimpse of their evening on the hill, but the heart of that session - the togetherness, the new beginnings, the love - shines through in every frame.
